              I.          Contest entry.

    1. Entry forms can be found at various Jeep and Offroad/4WD shows throughout the country, and online http:/www.cj-8.org/charity8.  If submitting an entry by mail, send entry to: SOA Great 8 Restoration Charity Project Giveaway:

    2. If submitting entry be mail, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope (S.A.S.E.) so a ticket stub(s) can be returned to you.  If no S.A.S.E. is included with the entry form, a return ticket stub(s) will not be provided to you.  This has no effect on drawing eligibility; however, you will have no official receipt of your drawing number for your records.
    3. Entry is by submission of an entry form by mail or in person.  If forms are submitted in person a $5 donation per ticket will be accepted in the form of cash, check or money order payable to Scrambler Owners Association.  If forms are submitted by mail a $5 donation per ticket will be accepted in the form of a check or money order payable to Scrambler Owners Association.  All net proceeds from these donations will be split equally between St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and BlueRibbon Coalition”.
    4. For those persons entering without the $5 donation, a separate "opt-out" note must be submitted in lieu of the $5 donation. This separate "opt-out" note must be submitted on a 3" X 5" card with the person's name, address, telephone number, (optional) e-mail address, and the following hand-written statement: "I wish to enter the Scrambler Owners Association Drawing without a $5 donation, and acknowledge that all net proceeds from this donation would have otherwise be split equally between St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and BlueRibbon Coalition". For those persons entering with a donation less than the $5 donation, a separate "opt-out" note must be submitted on a 3" X 5" card with the person's name, address, telephone number, (optional) e-mail address, and the following hand-written statement: "I wish to enter the Scrambler Owners Association Drawing with a donation of less than $5, and acknowledge that all net proceeds from this donation will be split equally between St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and BlueRibbon Coalition" . This card must accompany each entry form and be sent via certified mail. Maximum of one "opt-out" entry accepted per certified mail envelope. All net proceeds from these donations will be split equally between  St. Jude Children's Research Hospital  and BlueRibbon Coalition".
    5. Entries must be received by Scrambler Owners Association prior to 12:00 p.m.   ( noon ) Central time on June 1, 2008 .  Postmarks on mailing do not constitute proof of delivery.   Tickets will be available in-person up until time of drawing.
    6. The Drawing will be held at 8:00 p.m. central time on June 21, 2008 .   Scrambler Owners Association is not responsible for any acts of God or natural disaster that might cause cancellation or delay of the Drawing and/or awarding of the prize.  

  II.     Prize available. 

    1. A 1982 Jeep Scrambler with the following:  Advanced Frameworks frame (now Throttle Down Kustoms), rust-free OEM body, Rancho RS9000X shocks & RS9000 RCX Remote Control Damping System, 4.0L motor, T-176 4-speed transmission, Dana 300 transfer case, Dana 30/Dana 44 axles (freshly rebuilt), and Ultimate Air MultiForce Onboard Air System.  Complete project details can be viewed here: http://www.cj-8.org/charity8.  Scrambler Owners Association reserves the right to make minor changes to this component/feature listing if sponsorship opportunities for better parts become available.  Scrambler Owners Association also reserves the right to substitute alternate prizes of comparable or greater value in the event any that the above is unavailable. 
    2. The prize is awarded “as is”, with no warranty express or implied.

 

            III.    To Claim Prize. 

      1. The prize will be awarded at the 2008 Scrambler Owners Association National Event in Clayton, OK, and the Winner is responsible for transportation to pick up the prize at or after the National Event.
      2. Income taxes, property and transfer taxes, and registration fees, titles, licenses, insurance and other incidentals are the sole responsibility of Winner. The Scrambler Owners Association will send the winner an Internal Revenue Service Form 1099 indicating the final value of the prize. Winner agrees that the Scrambler Owners Association, BlueRibbon Coalition & St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital may use Winner’s name, address, likeness, and/or prize information, for promotional purposes in any medium without further compensation.  

              IV.   Eligibility. 

      1. Only natural persons eighteen (18) years of age or older may participate.
      2. The Drawing is closed to (i) Scrambler Owners Association Board members,
        (ii) Project Manager, and (iii) their immediate family, including mother, father, spouse, children, step-children, and siblings, living in the same household.
      3. The Drawing is void where prohibited by law and is subject to applicable federal, state, or local laws, rules or regulations.
      4. If this Drawing or any aspect hereof is found to be in violation of any relevant federal, state or local law, rule or regulation, the terms and conditions of the Drawing are hereby amended so as to conform with said law, rule or regulation, retroactive so as to be in conformity therewith ab initio.
      5. By his/her participation, each entrant accepts all conditions stated in these Official Rules, as they may be amended, agrees to be bound by the Official Rules and by the Drawing’s outcome, and warrants s/he is eligible to participate in  the Drawing.
      6. By accepting the prize, Winner releases the Scrambler Owners Association, BlueRibbon Coalition & St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, their directors, officers, affiliates, representatives and agents, from any and all liability, loss or damage arising from or in connection with awarding, receipt, and use or misuse of the prize or participation in any prize-related activities.  

                V.    General matters.

      1. The Winner will be notified by telephone or by registered mail no later than June 28, 2008 .
      2. The prize will be forfeited if the prize is not claimed and picked up by the Winner within 15 days of notification by the Scrambler Owners Association.  In this case, the Scrambler Owners Association reserves the right to pick an alternate winner. At time of drawing 5 tickets will be drawn; alternate(s) will be selected in the order in which they were drawn.
      3. The Scrambler Owners Association is not responsible for lost, late, postage due, incomplete, incorrect, or misdirected prize entries. 
      4. Entries submitted by insufficient funds checks will be disallowed.  Persons desiring to enter without making a $5 donation must follow the “opt-out” procedure outlined above.
      5. All decisions in connection with this Drawing are the sole prerogative of the Scrambler Owners Association, and are final.  Any challenge or protest must be received by the Scrambler Owners Association, in writing, within 24 hours of the Drawing.  All protests or challenges not so presented are waived.  In case of disputes, final, binding arbitration will be handled by the designated agent(s) of the Scrambler Owners Association Board members.
